The Stunning New Trends from New York Fashion Week

Full burst of elegant fashion from well known fashion brands and designers shown up during the New York Fashion week. Different style of newly embed designer products brought by Ralph Lauren. Marc Jacobs. Calvin Klein. Spring previews wrapped up at New York Fashion Week with shows by some of the most influential designers in the business before the industry moves on to the runways of London, Milan and Paris. Another great works of influential designers in showing more than just a newly trend. It was an amazing catwalk by supermodels in their elegant outfits. The trends in this year’s New York Fashion Week reflect on the creativity and newly artistry concept of every renowned influential designer from common to significant eco-friendly styles.

Opening of Terranova's Largest Store in the Philippines

September 15 is one of the historical day for the well known International fashion brand Terranova. A moment of expressing that the said brand is on its gracious business of progress as they put up their newest and largest store in Mall of Asia. A symbol of their success in bringing Filipino a wide variety of their fashion apparels that embraces by every Filipino fashionistas.
Terranova contributes new style and design of fashion apparels in fashion seasons here in our country. As recognition of the said brand, Filipino proves that the products of Terranova are “IN” in their fashion lifestyle. Through Terranova’s apparel, we can create, remix, in-style new trends that suits for the taste of every young trend setters. It was a quality product that you can manage perfect fashion for every style you have in every season.
In the opening of the Terranova’s largest store in the Philippines located in SM Mall of Asia at Bay City Pasay, it denotes that their business here in the Philippines is very successful and inspired Filipinos in every fashion apparels they had. In line with the store opening, they unveils also their new campaign called “WE ARE TERRANOVA” which features lot of Fall/Winter Collections 2011 fashion apparels that caters Filipinos for the upcoming Holiday Season shopping period.
The event was star studded as many of celebrities and models are gathered together in order to support the opening of Terranova store in Mall of Asia. Aside from other visitors, there are several media who cover the event including the bloggers which I belong. The program was host by MYX VJ Chino Lui-Pio and he presents the newly appoint brand ambassadors Lauren Uy (Fashion blogger and sister of Liz Uy) and Rez Toledo of SomedayDream. After that, Rez Toledo renders some of his songs that really entertain us.
The program is continuing into prospering the store as Mr Steven Tan, SM Vice-President for Operations  and Mr Alessandro Pagliarini, I.T. Head of Teddy s.P.A Italy lead the ribbon cutting. After that Mr. Alessandro Pagliarini renders his message and talk about the success and upcoming services that Terranova can offer to their customers. And at the end of the program, cocktail party is continue and great treats for all of us as we enjoy the shopping spree. I enjoyed the shopping moment because I got my new stuff in styling myself for the next event.
For those who want to shop at Terranova, there are stores in Glorietta 4 which is the first ever store of Terranova here in the Philippines, a branch in Sm North Annex, Festival supermall in Alabang, Robinsons Place in Manila, SM Sourthmall, Ayala Center Cebu, SM Mall Cebu, Abreeza Mall Davao, and of course the newly open and biggest store in SM Mall of Asia first level of the Main Mall.

Bum makes the growing COSPLAY trend part of everyday fashion


Fashionistas all over the world are now wearing their true colors on their sleeves more prominently their moods. Fashion authorities in the country would tell you that the youth are taking trends out of the pages of magazines (and even comic books!) and into the streets.
Costume Play, or more popularly known as COSPLAY, for instance, is now a growing style trend in the Philippines. What used to be part of the Otaku culture (fans of Japanese comic books or manga), is becoming a common sight in everyday Pinoy fashion little by little. 

There's a lot to Cosplay than a representation of a person's favorite anime character. It also speaks volumes about his/her fantasies, creativity and the center of it all, individuality.
That same level of individuality — which gives cosplayers the courage to show off  their true identities costumes in public — runs deep in Bum's style philosophy. As a brand that represents the youth's conceptions and misconceptions,  Bum is gradually recognizing the Cosplay trend into the Filipino fashion psyche by translating it into more prominent trend. Bum and Cosplay, after all, somehow speaks the same language.

So to mark this fashion assimilation, Bum is opening a contest for young Filipinos through their website. The local clothing brand is inviting young stylephiles to show their individual interpretation of the Cosplay trend by using pieces from Bum. While interested participants are allowed to wear their take on their favorite anime characters, the total ensemble should have shades of Emo Rock and Goth — Bum's signature look, ensync with “MY STORY” Bum’s culminating chapter. 
BUM products (apparel) should be the core component of the costume design based on the character of choice. Costumes may be enhanced by accessories such as wigs, make-up, contact lenses, and other props. If they're feeling a little bit more creative, computer graphics may also be used in the photo layout to enhance the costume/character (with the BUM logo prominently seen in the photo).

Photos must be submitted to Bum as early as possible, so that they will have enough time to get "Likes" on Bum's Website. The 10 entries that get the most "Likes" get a chance to take home big prizes, including a Nikon D3000 DSLR Camera, Blackberry 3G phones, Samsung ES80 cameras, and tokens from Bum.

BUM My Darkside Cosplay Competition Mechanics

Welcome to the world of BUM. Cosplay fashionista all over the Philippines... Here's your chance to conquer the world of BUM Equipment as you are now open to join the BUM My Darkside Cosplay Contest. This is the perfect time that you shine not only in BUM society but also in Cosplay community. For you to understand the contest. Here's the Mechanics:

1.      Create a character and design costumes based from anime, role playing games, movies etc. and on the following genre of cosplay to be portrayed.

2.      Bum COSPLAY/Character Costume Design Contest is open to Male & Female, 13, years old and above and a resident of the Philippines.

3.      Character & Costume designed mustbeEmo and Gothic inspired (BUM image related).

4.      BUM products (apparel) should be the core component of the costume design based on the character of choice. Bum products are available at Bum Boutiques and leading Department Stores nationwide.
5.      Costumes may be enhanced byaccessories such as; wigs, make-up, contact lenses, props, etc, based on the character of choice.
6.       Computer graphics may also be used in the photo layoutto enhance the costume/character.  (BUM logo must be prominently seen within the photo).
6.       Photographs must adhere to the following guidelines to be approved and
uploaded:

It must be clear and not blurred.
It must be focused on one person only who is wearing the costume.
It must be in portrait orientation.
            It must be in JPEG/PNG/GIF file format and not more than 2MB.
            It must not have any brand/logos present on it, other than that of BUM.

7.  Contestants must agree to the terms and conditions before they submit their photo entries together with their full name, birthdate, complete address, valid email address, mobile no. and character inspiration at http://www.bumequipment.com.ph

8.   A contestant may submit as many entries as long as it’s a different character/costume.

9.  BUM Management and the website administrator shall screen the entries. Entries should not contain any creepy, cute, cuddly and the likes before uploading and posting at BUM’s website.

10. Winning costumes entries (complete set) must be submitted or sent to Bum’s Corporate office at 3rdFlr., # 86 Jade Bldg., Chico Road, cor., Mc Arthur Highway PotreroMalabon City on or before ________________, 2011, in the expense of the contestant, in preparation for its showcase during Bum’s fashion show in November _____, 2011.

11. All costumes will be returned after the grand fashion show. 

12.  Should a contestant decide to “post” or “share” their photos on Facebook, Twitter or any other website without the knowledge and controls of BUM, BUM shall not in any way be responsible for whatever consequences and or any sort of comments allowing himself/herself to be the subject of varying comments, views and opinions of people, which may be express or relayed not just at BUM’s Facebook Fan page, but in other ways and medium, including but not limited to blogs. In such cases BUM Management & the website administrator will not be in any way held responsible and whatsoever in the dissemination of such.

13.  Promo period starts from  August 8, 2011 to October 30, 2011. Announcement of winners will be on October 31, 2011. Liking period is from August 8, 2011 to October 30, 2011.
                       DEADLINE AND SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES
All entries must be received not later than11:59 PM of October 15, 2011. BUM will not be responsible for any technical delay in the transmission of the entries. All entries must be submitted via www.bumequipment.com.ph

LIKING OF ENTRIES
1. Anyone who visits BUM website can “like” once for any entry.
    A facebook account is needed to like.

2. Liking starts once approved entries are posted on BUM’s website and ends on October 30, 2011 at 11:59 PM.

3. Likes executed at BUM’s website will be considered valid.

4.  Top 10 entries with most likes get to win prizes.
